The Buy As You View Band are recognised as one the Principality’s finest and most innovative music ensembles. Their numerous CD recordings and live concert performances have received worldwide acclaim. Having dominated in Wales for the last five years, 2005 saw the Buy As You View Band officially ranked Number 1 in the World. We present you to Echoes of the East composed by Rodney Newton. Based on traditional music from Bulgaria and Romania, the suite is a colourful adventure through that region's Gypsy culture, from the Aubade (dawn song) through the Village Wedding, a tasteful Twilight Romance and the concluding and raucous Gypsy festival.
The Yorkshire Building Society Band has, for the last decade, been the most successful of all contesting brass bands. It has also been amongst the most innovative with its highly acclaimed CDs and its concert projects, created through close collaboration between conductor and the various composers. This is an excellent collaboration between Peter Graham and Profeesor David King. Here is Windows of the World.
The Fodens Richardson Band from Sandbach in Cheshire have a prestigious history and are the current North West Champions.
